1975 (P) Toyota Celica GT 5speed TA22 (2TG Engine)

This rare & desirable Japanese Classic Sports Coupe is truly stunning!

Fully restored from the ground up including every nut & bolt this project was completed 7 years ago by renowned marque specialist Bob Clarke (Celica Bob) for our MD’s personal collection. He sold the car shortly afterwards when a friend persuaded him to let it go and who has now decided to part with the car. The car has covered hardly any miles since completion and is as fresh as it was then.

Finished in beautiful Porsche Mexico Blue with a fully retrimmed original Black interior, to include, Seats, Carpets, Headlining & Door Cards. The original Dashboard is perfect and shows no cracking. The exterior of the car is fantastic, all brightwork is lovely and both bumpers were re-chromed.

Lightly modified with wide arches, a deep chin spoiler, 15″ Alloys with 195’s front & 225’s on the rear, Coilover front suspension & Bilstein rear shockers and lowered springs. All suspension components were either re-bushed, powder coated and re assembled or replaced, The 2TG engine was fully rebuilt using genuine Toyota parts, the engine displays perfect oil pressure and starts and runs beautifully on the original Twin 40 Carbs which were fully stripped and rebuilt. As well as an aluminium 3 core radiator, a custom 4 branch manifold and full stainless steel exhaust were fitted and all the engine ancillaries were replaced too. The braking system was totally rebuilt, including new copper brake pipes, flexi’s, wheel cylinders, grooved/drilled front discs, cables, rear drums/shoes, brake master cylinder and servo. The original 5 speed Gearbox is perfect and the Clutch was replaced.

The car has been in storage for a few years and we have carried out recommissioning to ready the car for sale. The fuel has been drained and been replaced with fresh 97ron fuel, the plugs have been replaced, brakes freed off, coolant drained and replaced, carbs stripped and cleaned, fuel hoses replaced, oil changed and all lights & levels checked and adjusted.

This car represents a rare opportunity to enter the world of Japanese collectable classics and with values sure to rise could also make an excellent investment.
